By order of the municipal enterprise CASTELLDEFELS PROJECCIONS SA, we are making the energetic study of the building of the Local Police of Castelldefels.
Work of improvement and rehabilitation of “El Colmado” (Petit Casal), in Begues
The rehabilitation work of two of the emblematic areas of Begues center has already begun: the square Camilo Riu and the building of Colmado (this last one, with the participation of AMSA Arquitectura, together with Joan Vilanova, building engineer). Now, much work is being made to improve the present condition of both spaces, which over time it has been degraded. The objective of the work is to lend both the Colmado and the square such as nowadays, and recuperate the aspects of the initial projects when they were built, without any appreciable modification but repairing the elements more damaged and incorporating technical and architectural improvements.
The main actuations that will be made in the Colmado will be the repair of the four façades of the building, which have cracks, and the roof, which cause problems of dampness and leaks. On the other hand, improvements in the accessibility will be incorporated for people with physical disabilities in the entrance of the “Paseo de la Iglesia”, where it will be improved the access to the lift and it will be installed a new WC. Also, in the entrance of the square Camilo Riu, where it will be built a ramp of access to the offices that the Organismo de Gestión Tributaria de la Diputación de Barcelona has in Begues.
After the move of the social services in the building of Cal Pere Vell, the space of the first floor of the Colmado will be destined to accept entities linked with the territory. The objective of this initiative, equaled to the Centro de Interpretación del Parque del Garraf, which take up the ground floor of the building, is transform the space in an equipment dedicated to the culture and the patrimony of Begues.
DRAFT SIGHTS OF ESQUIPULAS III, NICARAGUA.
We have presented our draft for the ensemble residential VISTAS DE ESQUIPULAS III Phase, in Nicaragua, from order of IBASA, Iberoamericana de Inversiones SA.
This phase is characterized by building a front built created by 8 ensembles residential of multi-family housing unit in height, with a whole of 2248 apartments. Although in the first approaches we opted for a closed block as an urban typology, we understood that the place requires a treatment less monolithic and more “mouldable”, which allows a better adaptation to the contextual conditions (geometry, sun-dry, sights…) as well as suppose a “filter” more than a “barrier”.
For this we have used as strategy the generation of built unity that can be used both isolated (element “tour”) and attached (generating with its addition the element “block”). The combination of these elements, determined by the urban gauges established and by the orientation, allows generate a front “permeable” and “diverse” (with the generation of interstitial empties).
On a small scale, every built unity (tour-block) previously mentioned is based in one residential cell of, approximately, 50-60 square meters of useful area.
The distribution of this occupational unity has as axiom the maximal use of the space, so that the spaces of traffic are minimized. For this, it is established the wet area formed with a bath as a central element around which turn the rest of the dependences forming –in this way- a fluid space.
AMSA Architecture participates in CONSTRURADIO
Ángel Martínez (AMSA Arquitectura) has participated as a guest -jointly with Ilse Verly (AUTODESK) and Rafael Riera (CYPE/Zigurat)- in the first program of the season of CONSTRURADIO to discuss the implatation of BIM in the offices of Architecture.

After the finalization of the tracking auditory in 2014-07-21 to the System of Paperwork of the Quality of AMSA ARCHITECTURE, S.L.P. and after finalizing the process of evaluation, AENOR has communicated us that the results of the auditory has been CONFORM EVALUATION so that, another year, we have renovated our quality emblem.
